MicroCharts 3 Released
MicroCharts 3 was developed following a dialog with some of our key customers. It introduces many new chart features, new chart types, a more intuitive user interface and much improved fonts.
Value Axis and support for negative values
The new value axis completes the functionality
of bullet graphs. Add this to the new bar chart support for negative values, and
it’s possible to easily create great deviation analysis reports. Like all other
MicroCharts they are formula based and can be driven with dynamic sheet data.
Icons Charts, Heat Maps and Legends
Icons charts allow you to create effective KPI Icons, as Stephen Few
recommends in his book ‘Information dashboard Design', with a few simple mouse
clicks. You also can use them to visualize multi dimensional data with a heat
map. The new Legend support allows you enhance your graphical tables with font
based legends.
Enterprise Dashboards with XLCubed and MicroCharts
XLCubed v3.5, currently in private beta, enables the integration of
MicroCharts into
XLCubed allows the creation of truly dynamic OLAP enabled Excel dashboards,
and their publication to the Web through
XLCubed Web
Edition . In XLCubed web the dashboards are fully dynamic, and data
connected, but with no client installation required.
Visual Data Analysis with XLCubed and MicroCharts
XLCubed v3.5, currently in private beta,
introduces VisualGrids, akin to interactive and extended PivotTables connected
to your enterprise database. The new MicroCharts capability further extends the
gap between the XLCubed grid, and the standard pivot table. In-cell MicroCharts
add historical context to the headline numbers and allow fast, effective
parallel comparisons of trends and patterns, while fully retaining the slice and
dice environment. So in any XLCubed Grid you can now choose to display just the
numbers, just the historical trend through MicroCharts, or indeed both.
Easy to
Use Formatting User Interface
You can configure all the new charting features
trough an easy to use formatting user interface.
